"Deep and rhythmic, yogic breathing calms & invigorates us. "It's a drum beat for the dance of life." — Alison Mann teaches Yoga in Herefordshire |
Something I've noticed as one of Alison's students is that practising Yoga — especially the Kundalini Yoga that Alison specialises in — helps bring about life-changing experiences, while another thing I've learned is that Alison's students are very devoted to her teaching.
Some of her most devoted students from the Clear Space Studios Sunrise Kundalini Yoga class in Hereford town centre have started new jobs miles away from Hereford making it even more difficult to keep that class running over the Autumn 2019 to Winter 2020 period. The class has run from 7am, and travel conditions are already difficult, and the Meteorological Office has warned that Winter 2020 will be the coldest for about 30 years.
So this devoted student and blogger looks forward to attending her Wednesday evening Kundalini Yoga classes instead, where I shall also be able to use a chair as well as a mat! My intro to Kundalini Yoga with Alison in October 2018 was via a Chair Based Yoga session.
Alison says, "Yoga means union and is for everybody." It is adaptable, and Chair Based Yoga is an example of Adaptive Yoga.
Yoga is also a branch of AyurVeda — meaning 'life knowledge — that she has been practising for over two decades now.
